A Timer That Does Speech to Text (Any Text, Not the Time) at Multiple Intervals.
By 5 days ago
I've been searching for a timer. One that you can have run a single 'count-up' timer, but at customizable intervals set it to say something (different things for each interval). The closest I've found was a Chrome App called 'talking timer - custom speaking timer'. It's perfect, other than the fact the number of intervals is very limited - I need quite a few more. I've never seen anything else that does this.
The issue for me is I'm not a programmer. I've made a career in IT, but it sure as hell wasn't programming - and even scripting basic stuff is hard for me. I'm more than happy to try and do one but frankly don't even know where to start. Or, if someone here thinks this is easy, maybe I could even convince you to do it? Or to perhaps try and give me some pointers, or something? I'm thinking this isn't THAT hard. It's the configurable options, and then using words rather than sounds that I assume has some complexity.
And just for clarity, the speech to text isn't to tell me the time, it's to say specific words that could be configured for that interval. Just like in the app I mentioned above.
Any thoughts, ideas, help, links, anything would be greatly appreciated!
